Peace Corps Morocco – April 21, 2024

Taxi drivers will often add personal touches to their cars

Hello! I can’t believe it’s already late April and I’ve been at my site for 22 weeks so far. The classic mantra of Peace Corps is “days go slow, weeks go fast,” and I’ve definitely felt that to be true. Sometimes I’ll check my clock on a slow weekend and think, “how is it only 3pm?” and then other times, Ramadan is suddenly over and I’m trying to wrap some things up before my upcoming vacation and school break.

Peace Corps Morocco – February 25, 2024

As I mentioned last week, I’ve spent this entire week participating in my cohort’s In-Service Training (IST) up here in the north! I now have two full days of travel back to my site, including another stopover in Marrakech. Woo!

Peace Corps Morocco – February 18, 2024

The front seat on the bus has the best view!

Greetings from Meknes! It’s been wonderful to see all my friends that are now living elsewhere in Morocco. Because we aren’t allowed to travel between cities at night, last night a bunch of us got to stay overnight in Marrakech on the way here. I hadn’t been to Marrakech yet, so it was really cool to see the old medina and other parts of town.
